Aspergillus fumigatus peritonitis
in continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis
Report of two cases with different outcome

Two cases of Aspergillus fumigatus peritonitis are described in patients maintained on continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis, one of which had a favorable outcome, the other not. The usefulness of the initial Gram stain of the peritoneal fluids in the prompt initiation of the appropriate treatment is emphasized.
